Dawg I like the idea but I wont concentrate on one group I would like to give as many people a chance to win this hunt as possible. Right now here is how we are thinking you would get a ticket for the drawing...buying our products, enter a trail camera pic and a hero shot on our website contests, comment or like specific Facebook posts, what we are trying to figure out is how exactly we would give tickets to members of the military whether active or veterans and it was suggested that disabled veterans get multiple tickets which I like, disabled hunters, children, police officers and fire fighters. I still would also like to figure a way to incorporate my favorite forums as well.
How about a youngster who has had a tough time of it in some way? Maybe Dad died or the younster been fighting an illness of some sort. That would be really cool and I would be willing to pitch in with his or her transportation expenses. A few dollars from each of us would go a long way in making it something exceptional.
Honestly Tom, if I was ever given a free guided whitetail hunt I'd want to give it to someone less fortunate. My biggest dream in life has always been to have the monetary ability to own and operate a farm/ranch/outfitters which specializes in giving kids/adults with special needs or handicaps the chance to enjoy something very very few ever thought possible. I think it'd be awesome if you did something like this or perhaps a wounded veteran. I think it's an awesome gesture no matter what you decide to give it away, but I feel the story would be priceless if it could go to someone who was wounded serving us, or someone who is overlooked due to their handicap. Peace friend.
I really like this idea. Also like Muzzy man said about donating a couple dollars for transportation id be willing to do that. I think it would make for a great video and it would make someone very happy. I have a cousin who is handicap but he still goes into the woods with his dad and mom aslo his brothers and he loves to go on rides on the 4-wheeler. He is just happy being out in the outdoors with his family. Now he wouldnt ever be able to hunt but it just an example of how much the outdoors and being free so to speak means to them and its sad how so many people over look them.
For just company giveaways (not non-profit agencies etc.) there is not much you can do except random giveaways. The ticket for a purchase, a post, etc. would work. Then, also have an address someone can just mail their info to and enter w/o purchase or participation. That way when you give it away, no participation in anything is truly necessary and you don't get some dink suing you for your generousity. If you want to go the charitable route, partner with a charity to give it away. They are governed by different rules and can make selections based on criteria that would get you in trouble.
I would like to see a raffle system and the hunt to be given to a youth hunter. Not enough kids coming up thru the ranks and not enough places for them to hunt.
