How do you guys keep the squirls out of your feeders? I bought a brand new feeder this year and squirls have chewed two holes in the top of it. I didn't realize until it got clogged up with plastic parts and wasn't spitting out any corn. Now I have 200Lbs of wet corn. Besides buying an expensive metal feeder what are your suggestions?
I just don't use a feeder and I don't have to worry about it. Problem solved. That was easy..... next?
Dang.... that's what I do too. Works everytime. LOL Are your feeders/feeder susupended from a tree or ground mounted?
My bad I guess that's the redneck in me. I never claimed to be a good speller. Don't cuff me yet Dan. My feeder is a tripod style with metal poles. I think I figured out what to do. I have trimmed some branches that were close to it and I think they were jumping from them to the top of the feeder. Thanks anyway.
Get yourself an old metal drum that will slide down over the top of your feeder.Cut the drum in half or even just the bottom 1/4.Slide that part down over the feeder and the squirrels wont be able to get to it.
The .17HMR works the nuts doesnt it. Im liking the .17 Fireball round I see at cabelas too. Quite a bit more punch.
