Good review. I have a muddy camera arm now but wanted to order this for the ease of setting bases in all of my established setups already, and making less noise when I get into the tree. I will be doing a little online shopping today at work...

The fact the shoulder and the base separate make it so much easier to pack up than the muddy. The down side of course is more stuff to assemble in the stand but its worth it to me.

Only if you leave the bases in your trees. If you try to pack both the base and the shoulder it's about the same.

I'll be using both my Muddy and Fourth Arrow this fall. Once I have a handle on the Fourth Arrow and have used it a few times I'll be able to give some real feedback. There are things I like about it, and things I don't. Only some time in the field will tell how it really performs.

I thought the same thing --- have a base in every stand make it a bit easier. But we'll see how the season goes. We may have to revisit the arm after 1 season of use.
