A member of this site recently became a member of the four eyes community. This person is feeling quite perplexed about becoming a member, so to show support other members who wear glasses or contacts should speak up. I have pledged not to name this person as not to aggravate his complex. We can help this person feel better about glasses (but there is absolutely nothing we can do about his gigantically fat fingers!) How long have you been wearing glasses/contacts? I have had glasses since I was 4.
Is this person in elementry school? we are all adults... hell now a days its more trendy for people to wear glasses.
I don't yet but have a feeling it won't be long as I can tell my vision is deteriorating. I see fine up close but can tell that things at a distance aren't as focused as they used to be.
Poor old guy. I wore glasses for a while. I hated them. Apparently my eyes did too. My vision went back to 20/20. Neener.
I got my glasses when I was 29. Went to BiFocals at 40. Now I wear bifocal contacts in the fall (glasses fog up in the stand) and need cheapo reading glasses on top of them for close work. Does that make me 6 eyes?
Glasses since I was like three or four, basically as long as I can remember. But been wearing contacts since I was 12, I don't wear glasses out at all mine are old and bent an broken so I just wear them at home. With out one or the other I'm blind.
I've been wearing glasses all my life. I'm very near sighted so I can read fine but I can't drive a car without them. Hunting is pushing me into contacts for the first time so that I don't have to remove my glasses looking through binoculars or my range finder... I don't have anywhere near the balls to try laser eye correction yet! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Had glasses for distance around 25, but like Christine, my eyes fixed themselves/healed. Readers/Cheaters around age 40...so a fair number of years.
Men make passes at women who wear glasses... so the story goes. First got glasses when I in the military. Never knew how bad my sight was until I went to the eye doctor. Have been wearing them ever since. I tried contacts - I didn't like 'em. Now I wear progressive lenses. I also have age-related macular degeneration... so someday [hopefully a long ways away] I'll be legally blind.
I wear glasses & contacts. Got my first pair of glasses in Jr. High. Didn't get contacts until my 20's when I got sick of my glasses fogging up while hunting
Is that like the new bifocal trend? I am the only person in my immediate family that does not have to wear glasses/contacts. I can't explain it, and the milkman that I've known since childhood can't either. I do fear that it's going to catch up with me though, between age and smartphones something has to give.
