Well, got more than i expected today. Decided to do some early shedin nd was wanting to get back to a spot i hunted late season, where i had a very close encounter with 5 bucks that came in behind my overly obese tree Three were Dandys and i think this is one of them. I started in another location and worked my way back to where i think the bucks were bedding but definantly traveling through. I had finnaly made it to the spot and traveled around 100 yards back when at 30 yards i spoted what looked like a main beam, just looked out of place. When i walked up i was suprised to see both sides 5 yards apart. Its heavy and both brows are busted off. Id say he was a warrior and id like to see who busted him up. They were fresh enough they both had bloody spots on the burr and wax rings on both. Got them taped out now. Left 59 7/8" busted off G1 Right 58 0/8" busted off G1 Given a 16" spread = 133 7/8 Given two 4" brows and 16" spread 141 7/8 As found 2/9/09 Picked up for the first time Thinking of game plan for this season
Very cool, especially finding them together like that, maybe it is common for the rest of you, but we rarely find them together. I would be pretty stoked knowing that buck is in the area for next year.......
Man Dink, those are some nices ones! Congrats on a good find. Hopefully you find the others that were haning out with him!
Congrats again !! Just curious on the last picture and your serious stare. Were you looking at the shed or thinking... my Gawd it's true, I do have fat fingers ?? I my vote is the latter. :d Tim
