We went over to Rice Lake today.

Sadly, the river is still to high to launch.

We could see lots of fish... we just couldn't really get to them. (it was a major pain trying to pull them up through the brush and they would pull off)

You can see what we would have to shoot through/over/in to get to the fish.

....so we went over to Banner Marsh and enjoyed the fact that we could breeze over the mass quantities of weeds with the fan. There were some carp out there but they were few and far between and really skittish.

Tomorrow we're either going to take the canoes... or we'll just launch the boat off a levee. ;)

Next time bring the chain saw and weed wacker and hack a path to the water.

Looks like there was some fun to be had if you could have gotten on the water, lots of fish in those pics.

We could shoot through a few openings like the one pictured but it didn't ake too many shots before they decided to relocate to safer parts of the creek. I can't remember if we got any fish back up the bank. (if we did it was only one)
