After watching UFC 101, I have to say, that was one of the most boring events that I have ever saw. I only really cared about Forrest vs. Spider, and that fight was a total let down. I thought that Forrest would actually fight with Spider, but he chickened out like a little punk..... I actually think that the UFC should fine or suspend him for that pitiful attempt. I am a HUGE Spider fan, but come on.... somebody needs to actually fight him instead of acting like a little... well.... you know. I was glad to see Penn retain his belt.... the rest of the matches were boring.
I agree I thought Forrest was suppose to be the fighter with a BIG heart that will never quit but it looked like he quit pretty easy to me, I was bored by all the fights too!
I guess I am in the minority here. It was a good card, not great but very good. Fights were not bloody or quick but still good fights. Forrest did not do anything wrong except run out of the octagon, and literally out of the stadium. He don't like to lose the ones he feels he should have won. He did the same against Jardine. Anderson completely destroyed him and made Forrest look like he does everybody else, "Like a amatuer". Silva is that good, he has made everyone look like a little kid. The boring fights were because the fighters didn't want to fight which made for a boring match and most you all decided it was Anderson's fault and he under performed. This guy no doubt is the best P4P fighter in the world. He comes off a tad cocky but come on, no one is even close to his level. He can still lose but it will be if he has a way off night or someone gets real lucky with a hard punch. I was in awe as silly as he made Forrest look. I can't say I was surprised I figured it would happen just not quite that easy or fast. Forrest did not land 1 punch!
Almost forgot seems Bj is trying to get his fans back if you watched the post fight interviews he said he don't like being booed. He was humble and most importantly looked very good.
I agree Tribal. I think dana set this fight up hoping Forrest would push the pace to avoid another "boring" spider fight. Anderson simply went to work, he moves with no effort and everything he does is from a counter. How can you stop someone that uses your movement to decide where and how he is going to hit you. I would love to see he and machida fight, they both stay balanced (leaning back), and the both counter better than anyone else.
Unless something strange happens, Anderson and Machida won't fight because they are very close friends and have said they won't fight. It would be great to see though because I feel they are 2 of the top 3 P4P'ers in the world. Possibly even the Top 2. Anderson definitely needs to stay at 205 tho I think, he just looks so great
