Who cares, we just had this same discussion about Tiger. What athletes do in their private life has no bearing on how support them. It's his life, why should I care? I am sure most here do not care
This really should not shock anyone. The rumors of the gayness involved in the NFL and NBA have been around for a while now.
Next thing you know there'll be gay dudes in hunting! But so long as they are using a vertical bow and not a crossbow, it will be okay.
What has Dan told you? How much do you know? And Hooker just likes certain things. It doesn't make him gay.
I'm sorry, who is Wade Davis? Don't care what his sexual orientation is. Why is this a story? I could see it raising some eyebrows if it was someone like Ray Lewis or Peyton Manning. From the best I can tell, this guy never even made a roster.
I don't know him. Good thing he came out... I'll make sure he's not on my guest list. LOL I do have to tell you though.... one of the very best employees I ever had was .... well as that 3 dollar bill. I hired him in HS for part time. I had him through 5 years of college. The women customers loved him. If anyone had a problem with a customer they called Beau. Nice kid.... but I still wouldn't date him. LOL
Not sure why you are bringing this up? Not exactly a bowhunting issue. Are you testing the waters to see how bowhunters react to the issue? The incidence in the population about 3% overall. That is certainly a very vocal minority. You can google it if you want some stats. Therefore the incidence among bowhunters is also likely to be about 3%. Here in California we tend to be tolerant of alternative lifestyles, more or less, in public, and at work. In our private lives, everyone tends to gravitate towards others who are similar to ourselves and who have similar interests. It used to be, prior to the Harvey Milk movement in San Francisco, that everyone kept their personal issues personal. Today however these coming-out announcements are quite common. Personally I do not care to know whether someone is LGBT or not. It's just not relevant, as several others here have mentioned. After someone does make a fuss about it, I then tend to avoid them, not so much because of their orientation, but because they are making a fuss.
I think it is safe to assume (no pun intended) that out of 100 of your friends, 2 or 3 of them will be LGBT. One of them could be your boss. Another could be your neighbor. Several of them could be your co-workers. As such they are valuable contributors to society. They just do certain things differently. It probably makes the most sense to remain colorblind (so to speak) about LGBT people. At our local archery club, there is one person who really gets into the dress-up aspect of the Robin Hood longbow group. But he is not a hunter. He is just an archer. If I were guessing I would venture that he is the 1 out of the 50 in the archery club. But I don't really care. He is rather obnoxious about longbows, and casts dispersions upon recurves and compounds, so I avoid him for that reason alone. In our archery club, the compound bow archers tend to hang out together, the recurve bow archers tend to hang out together, and the longbow archers tend to hang out with each other. Likes attract each other, that's usually how it works. I suspect the same holds true for LGBT.
