Check out Realword wildlife seed.. there beans produce lots of pods and i believe is a mix of forage and ag beans. there is a ton of great info on the QDMA site about these beans.
Last year we planted both Real World beans and Ag beans($10 bags from the NWTF). The plot was about 1.5 acres big and we split the plot in half with each brand. From what we could tell, there wasn't really a difference in the beans. The Real World beans maybe had bigger stalks and maybe a tad bigger bean pods but it wasn't that big of a difference. I'll post pictures so you can see them. The first 3 pictures are of the plot, the first picture is the Real World beans, the 2nd is split in half with Real World beans on the right and Ag beans on the left, the final picture is the Ag beans. Picture of Real World bean pods forming. Me standing in the Ag beans in middle of August.(I'm 6'1 just to give you an idea of how tall they are.) Ag beans after leaves were off.
The Ag beans were the first to die off, while the Real World beans were still green. They were planted on the same day. In January when we had snow the Real World beans seemed to be holding up good. The end result which everyone hopes to see in late season. A field full of deer feeding on the beans. I hope this helps.
Dan: I'm located in South Central Wisconsin. We are going to plant 2 acres of Ag beans and no Real World beans. We also are going to plant roughly an acre of radishes and turnips.
