    I agree. When talking about lifting weights for weightloss, I believe protein helps build lean muscle. All depends what your goals are.

    Due to all the years I spent lifting, playing football, wrestling.....I can't really stand the smell of a protein drink or protein bar. If I HAVE to eat one I will, but not consistently. I think protein in the form of a variety of meats and beans, etc is better than protein bars and doesn't do a number on your digestive tract like processed protein bars/shakes.

    LOL! But they do the opposite on your system as compared to processed protein bars. Beans=healthy laxative...processed protein bars=cement.

    I prefer to eat real food versus the bars.I don't digest them well.Even when I really chew them up they sit like a lump in my stomach.
