So I was watching the Today Show this morning...:busted: ... and they just ran a story about a couple that had the DNA from their yellow lab froze 6 years ago.The dog has since died. Anyways, they had Korean scientists make of clone of their dog, which is now 10 weeks old. All this for the low low cost of $150,000!!!

    So would you?

    My dog?
I would not. I think there would be some law against cloning this guy...

My dog got out of her indoor/outdoor kennel today and got into the garage. She was loose in there for about two hours.

She spread destruction from one end of the garage to the other. (and it's a 30 x 40 garage!)

Cloning was not exactly what was on my mind.

I wish I had a clone. Not like the real clones, but like that movie Multiplicity. That was a good movie.
My dad thinks that I am the last of those clones.

Edit: I just figured out how to vote on here. It's not like the other forums I am on. Where you can't see the results until after you vote.

I would love to have a clone of my Black Lab Piper, heck I could get a dog from the same breeder and get another Lab nearly identical to her. Truth be told I have shifted my stance on that due to my wife and have three adopted dogs now. I would rather donate 150k to prevent thousands of dogs from being put to sleep in high kill shelters over selfishly blowing 150k to have a clone of the same dog that will eventually die leaving me no other option than to clone it again.

A clone would have the same genetic structure but not the same formative experiences so it would be a different dog, it would just look identical.

$150,000 dog, these people are worse than idiots.
