Guys, I have some aluminum siding to replace on the V-section of my garage. I have never shopped for or installed aluminum siding. What is a good price per square foot for aluminum siding. My siding is your basic white. Also, would it be a stretch for me to install it myself? Any tips? Thanks guys as usual. This is not my house below, but imagine nearly half of the siding is gone on the right hand side of the V. Basically a triangle shape.
I had to replace some vinyl siding from a tornado house, and that wasn't too bad. Im sure its the same concept as the aluminum. Just screw the bottom piece on, then take the next piece and hook it into the groove, pull up and screw it down (or nail, either way).
VS..Not alot to it. Couple of things. Make sure you laps are away from the way you typically approach the house. The hardest part will be cutting your miters. Take the siding slide it up til it the top touches the eve, measure across the bottom. That will get your miter.
Thanks for the info guys---what is a good price per square foot of aluminum siding? I am not looking to get nailed, paying out big dollars for siding when I could get it for much less.
Are you sure it's aluminum and not vinyl? I've never put up aluminum siding. I'll check on the going rate either way.
