Could you post that Video of your mascot doing the bucky or something like that...Since Racid is not a fan of sprots, he may need to see it to understand why we feel the way we do about Wisconsin...He is an honest man, and i am sure he will not be happy with the way his state is represented in that video.:poke:

I don’t know about Racid but I am not a fan of "sprots" or sports either. You should know that "Bucky" is a mascot for one school in WI, not the state of WI. The state does not have a mascot but it does have a variety of state animals. And yes I have seen bucky at a Madison game. In the world of "Sprots" mascots, there are sillier.

Figured you would not bother with my spelling considering my location. Your states sports fans consider Bucky to be the mascot of the only school that matters in wisssssscooooooonnnnnsiiiiiinnnn. Now let me see you bucky:lol:

Most of my bucks are not displayed and reside all over the place or in large moving boxes. Some of them serve as holders for other important things (they are functional)

Some are in the den. This one would score 140 P&Y

If entered, this one would score about 145.

This one was 450 pounds. It was a real nice boar that my brother screwed up the video of. I stared setting up other hunters by baiting for them and videoing their hunts. After a few years of it I didn’t care to see another bear. I lived in the northern part of the state. Now I live in the southern corner where there are no bear.

My most memorable and prized deer (the one I would trade all others for that one.) I killed it with a homemade bow, homemade broadhead, Homemade arrows, (with turkey feathers from a harvested tom) With a homemade finger tab wearing homemade camo from a homemade stand. Killed him at 8 yards with a double lung shot.

Other trophies reside up at the farm. None have been entered in any record books.

No. I am a bowhunter not "something other" than a bowhunter. WI changed its laws allowing the use of crossbows for all seasons except the archery deer season so if I wanted to be a crossbow hunter, I suppose I could but then, why bother? I am not handicapped or eldery needing such a weapon.

That was a crappy picture of the 13 point. It was a 14 point with a dandy drop tine 6 days earlier when I saw him but when I got him, he had broken it off.

    Thats a nice deer.

I will honestly say that i still do not fully understand your thoughts on crossbows.

perhaps I have read things wrong but to me it seems you have said 2 different things about them.

perhaps you just enjoy confusing me....

I think I have been pretty consistent and since this thread is far from its original intent (and since you asked) I will explain. I am a crossbow owner. I have been for 30 years. I have had 3 of them in that time. (both recurves and compound models)

I don’t hunt with a crossbow in my home state although starting this year I could during any of the firearms seasons. I do not hate or dislike crossbows and find them them a fantastic option for those that cant use a real bow, such as the elderly and handicapped.

My 76 year old father has been a crossbow hunter for the last several years and is an example of a guy that never bowhunted because he was too busy farming and raising 6 kids. Later in life, he became a crossbow hunter. He never was and never will be a bowhunter. He is a crossbow hunter.

As to the able bodied that could use a real bow but opt out of being a bowhunter and instead take up crossbow hunting. I suppose that’s fine so long as licensing and registration is kept seperate from bowhunters but if able bodied and able to use a real bow but use a crossbow, don’t ever try to pass yourself off as a bowhunter. You accomplishment is not at all the same and is less than that of a bowhunter. There are bowhunters and there are crossbow hunters. Having owned and used both for a very long time, this I know to be a self evident truth not subject to the opinions of others.

Back on topic. I had an issue with my cell phone so I called the ATT number stored in my phone for service. The woman that answered sought to help me. I had a very difficult time understanding her. She asked if I was calling from my pancake phone. I replied that I didn’t understand what that means. She again asked if I was calling from the pancake phone. I replied that I don’t know what a pancake phone is. She ask if the phone was a Sony, Samsung, Motorola or a pancake. I stopped and looked at the back of the phone and then told here mine is a Pantech. She said thanks and then went onto assist me. Before I ended the call, I asked her what state she is located in. She said South Carolina.

Interesting and hard to understand. I wish phones offered subtitles for the times when I have to deal with non-english speaking customer service (as well as those gender changing people) :o

It sounds to me like some one had an addadictomy, which is quite common now a days.

I am just a curious southerner wondering if you believe you are being grammmatically correct and or spelling correctly?

I too have a Pantech and hate it.
