I highly recommend Queensryche's new disc "American Soldier"... concept album dedicated to those who have served in the military.
Complete with interview clips from soldiers that served from WWII to Iraq/Afghanistan. :usa: :hail:
Tells a story from a soldier's point of view, based on a bunch of interviews that Geoff Tate (lead singer) did over a period of time. He put them all together and realized that while there were some differences, they all had common threads and rolled with that part of their combined stories.
All in all, it's a great concept, and is extremely well done. Brings me back to their heyday... Operation:Mindcrime, Empire, etc...

    thanks Peak.
and by the way, correct me if I'm wrong here, but that's gotta be a high school/college pic there. Hmmm. '80's I believe. Satin jacket, that hairstyle, and is that Old Style I see in the background? Dang. I'd swear we were buds at one point & time! All that's missing is... well, maybe it's just not in the pic.

this is a very good album, it showed up this weekend and i'd say its one of there best efforts in a while... good to have 'em back in full force... i still think promised land is the best album they've ever done, but this new one is very good...
