Would you hunt this spot? The little blue dot is my tree (approx). Red lines are trails. I'm surrounded by trails and i've had deer come from all directions. Its pretty much impossible to hunt this without having a bad wind. I do watch the wind though, when i can

Well if you have hunted it and have had deer come from all directions, I guess you answered your own question))))) Yes I would hunt it but only with the prevailing winds ( whatever way the wind blows from the same direction on most days.

Not knowing what is N,S,E and WEST from your map I could not guess which wind would be best. If it is producing then hunt it, just do not over hunt the stand site like most people do when they find a good spot.

Goodluck, hope it pays off for you.

What direction are they traveling and when? For instance, if the opening in the forest on the west is a food plot that they feed in all night, you could hunt that spot in the AM with a west wind to catch them coming off the plot, or PM with an east wind when they head there in the evening.

Every stand I hunt has trails crisscrossing through, I just had (have) to find out when they're head which direction.

Thanks for the info guys. Grizz, i have a tree picked out about 30yds from my tree that would put me just east of that bottom trail, just about where you picked. Only thing is, that puts the second from the top trail out of range. They use that trail as much as the bottom ones. I couldnt decide if it was worth staying put so i can cover all of the trails or play it safe with the wind and cross my fingers that they use the bottom trails. And you're right about the blue trail. From what i've seen the deer use that trail as an escape route, the only ones i've seen use it were running.
