Any tips? I mean wow I have a whole new respect for the effort it takes to pull that off. Yesterday morning had 3 in front of me and managed to hit the power and follow the deer without being detected. Yes I hit power but not the record, rookie mistake. Anyways last night had 2 12 yards fromme and managed to hit record and get some footage without ever being detected.

My question is how have you perfected your system to carry a arm, camera besides all your gear. It was borderline ridiculous but was a blast once set up and a great feeling getting footage of deer you elect to not release a arrow on. Maybe there is no easy way but my arm hardly fits in my pack and the camera what do you carry it in to protect it? I had my padded camera case although small still too big for it to easily fit in my pack. Maybe I just should try a sock or smaller padded case. Any tips?

I have forgot to hit record on more then a few occasions. I haven't filmed from a tree yet but have during scouting. Several videos on my youtube page. This year I plan to get a lot from the trees!

I just use my back pack. I'll wrap my camera in my outer layer that I don't put on until I'm in the stand anyway.

I can say, its a pain to deal with on your on. I don't do it while bow hunting unless I have a partner. Bow hunting just takes to much consentration ( I can't walk and chew gum).
Although I did successfully film myself take two nice ten points in Pearsall, TX and Brady,TX with a rifle while sitting in a box blind. Even in those circumstances it was difficult. I know a few proffessionals and they always enphasize on quality equipment, including camera, tree arm with fluid head, and tripod. That automatically knocks me out, I can't afford it!

    Tribal,

I backpack all my gear. My camera arm straps to the back pack and if I'm using my climber, The pack straps to the treestand which is on my back. It's a lot to carry but I so do love all of the aspects of it.
