Here’s a look at an old one. If you didn’t know any of the details, where would you age this one based off tooth wear? It’s in an area without agriculture. Considering sending it for cementum aging

I don't really know. I am just you tube learned. Lol... But I say 6 1/2+. What I watched said was that after 6 1/2 you cannot accurately age them. That's just my 2 cents. I'm looking forward to learn about this.

That's quite a bit of wear. I have some that I saved. One was supposedly 9.5 years old, but was worn a little more than the one you have. I would put yours in the 7.5-8.5 year range. Just a guess.

After licking the entire thing twice, I have concluded it is indeed from a deer.

I’d do the cementum aging If you want an exact age instead of a rough guess. Tooth aging can be a bit tricky past 3 1/2, depends a lot on diet as far as tooth wear.

I would easily say in or beyond 4th year. Becomes tough with tooth wear beyond that due to dietary differences of each deer and/or region. This the buck you killed in Ohio?

Your doing it wrong. Your supposed to suck on each tooth individually for an accurate aging

I did, I just didn't want to gross anyone out with the details. I got 6.5....and corn.
I also discovered it's a better kiss than 10 out of the last 18 of my ex girlfriends.

Haha. Yeah I’m positive he’s 6.5 plus. Just wanted to share. I’m going to send the incisors off
