Okay, so with my previous post, I tried to post a video from photobucket, & used the url listing, but it doesn't show up on the post. what gives?
If you mean to have the player itself embedded into the post, Vbulletin doesn't support Photobucket embedding by default. There is an add-on I believe (at least there used to be) that the admins would have to install to allow it. If you look at the allowable hosts in the embedding option here, it's Hulu, Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Google, and Facebook. You can copy a photobucket hosted video source code and embed it into the post, though, and people can click on it to take them to the video if you want.
Just copy the the "direct link" Then click on the insert image icon. Make sure you are under the "from url" tab Then paste it in there and make sure the retrieve remote file and reference locally box is checked
how bout directly from my laptop? My understanding is that I have to post it into one of the 4 hosts you mentioned then back to BCH.c correct?
Correct. You cannot embed a locally hosted file (ie a file directly saved to your computer). Just upload it to one of the approved sites, and you will have no problems.
