Glad I didn't opt for the leveler.

Hopefully they found it, whatever the failure, in house and not multiple failures in the field.

I found out that I want my tree stand bottom kicked a little upward when I first connect it....if the tree narrows as you climb(which most do), it will level out. As for the upper section I like it level when I climb. As soon as it starts dipping downward I stop and adjust. When I am finally set, ideally I want everything level, but can tolerate a slightly upward bottom section. The top section needs to be level....too many issues with noise and it sliding down at the wrong times if it isn't.

Yeah, my climb with mine I initially set it up too steep of an angle on both, but the upper wasn't as bad at height. Then the fiasco after I set up and tried to go up a bit more to level the lower and snapped 3 arrows between the upoer cable and tree.

While lesson learned, i went ahead and ordered one of these. Will either modify it to go in the FasTrack on the rail or mount it to it permanent to mount my quiver horizontal while in stand. Think it would be better than hanging it by the loop anyway, have dropped one to the ground more than once.

good catch- should be it's own thread.

Actually, that's a good idea for a sticky thread- manufacturer recalls and general safety alerts written by Forum members as events warrant.

So did just that with the hazmore seat, messaged them on facebook. Said I need the larger one for the goliath, asked for my address. Going to send me one and all I have to do is give them my thoughts on it and send some installed pics.
