Coworker has me a bit concerned about the Viper. I've never used a sit and climb before but he thinks I'll use my core more with it than I would with hanging sticks and stand.

You will use your core more with climber no doubt. But your Basically just lifting your legs with about 10-15 lbs on them. It's more of a secure feeling with a climber. No matter what you will need to practice with either. So just pick one and stick with it til you are proficient. A little core exercise never hurt anyone, haha

I am at least 40 pounds overweight and can barely sit up in bed without using my leg to whip down for leverage.....You will be fine, trust me!!!!!

    Been there done that

I always felt sit and climb meant you can sit. With alluminum I'm not sure if I can put my whole weight on the bar of the upper, seems like a lot of fulcrum force.

I could get up a tree fairly fast about 10 years ago when I had the hand climber. As long as I am quiet I can deal with a slower climb. It's nit the creaks and scrapes I worry about while climbing, it's the knock the wind out of you *THUD* while cracking 4 ribs that worries me.

LOL!! That is what it is designed for! If the welds fail, the arms are still loc-t in place by design.

 I'm worried about bending rather than welds cracking or failing.

In all seriousness, I just want to be sure it is full bidy weight on the front bar(while sitting), watching review videos it seems they all hve quite a but of weight on their forearms while half assed sitting.

I'll give it a whirl. Hoping it giws up at work before lunch. Migh see if there is a climbable tree on site, but think they are mostly pines with maybe 10 feet of base.

Yep! I’ve had too many cheeseburgers(with bacon) in my life and I give that bar the true uL testing. They had a titan version if you want the 350lb capacity. Don’t think you need it as they are built tuff.

So is this what you do? Looks like a pretty old video, just want to make sure a better set up has not been discovered.

Already ordered and will be here Thursday, just wanted to make sure someone hasn't improved the set up since the video was made.

So I've got everything ordered except the tape and seat. Still not certain which seat the Pro needs, whether the SD would work or need something more like the Goliath.

Non-stop spending this stuff is, sheesh

LOL! Yeah good idea holding off on the tape too. Might not really need it, or might be better off getting stealth strips for it. They'd be neater in appearance if that is an issue for you.
