Just wanted to share my experience with some hinging and dropping trees from a few weeks ago, I trudged through snow and hinged and dropped some aspen trees two weeks ago and this past Sunday went out to check and the buds had been eaten and the deer trails throughout the mess I created was amazing, I should have had one of my coverts looking over cuts, I used my silky zubat 330 saw and went to work. If you want some instant food for deer hinge or drop some of your junk trees. Scoot
I want to try and do it this weekend but I can't get to my edges or fields. I may try and hinge some trees close to the road along a trail if I still see deer sign there.
I went to check cams for the first time in a month due to the snow (and it's still high), and the spots with the most activity/tracks were the tops my dad left down when he was cutting standing dead firewood. They had EVERY bud and tip nibbled off of these tops. Hinging is even better because it lasts :D
