I wouldn't be caught dead with any kind of legal night hunting equipment unless the only season in is predators...not worth attempting to prove not deer hunting....personally I still wouldn't have any weapon just for the potential "poaching" thoughts circling someone else's head

While I certainly understand where you're coming from, someone's potential thoughts are no reason not to night hunt if you so choose. You also wouldn't have to prove anything, unless you are caught in the act of illegally shooting a deer at night you are just in the woods with a light system.

I know several guys who like to predator hunt at night with their bows/x-bows. They like Fenix lights, Razorback hunting light(made for a bow stabilizer hole), and about 1,000 other lights. Best bet search some predator hunting forums.

Well that sucks, I have a illuminated rheostat that will keep my pins glowing all night long.

I'm just sticking to gun for my predator hunting though. I want to be efficient at killing everyone I can.

Heard that ... I have had foxes pretty much run in my lap though. Either way a .17/.223 round is cheaper then an axis arrow.

That's same thinking as we shouldn't have guns because guns kill people.

I get paid by many local farmers to kill coyotes. I have a robinson xcr semi auto 223 for that. But directly behind my place I ak allowed to shoot. But I don't just because my nearest neighbour boards horses. And a couple times I shot the horses were literally jumping over the moon. And I pissed a lot of people off. But the coyotes are just taking over behind me. I was going to try bow hunting them so I can go out all of january and February. Our season for coyotes is all year no limit.

Get you a cheap Chinese creed light and several batteries. Zip tie it to your stab and kill at will. It'll light'm up to 50 yards very easy. I've had 3 different GW's see my setup and I've never been questioned. I'm not going to hunt worried about what GW "might" think I'm doing, BUT if you think you will tempted to poach don't even put it on because it will absolutely light up a deer at 40 yards where you could make a shoot. I leave mine on year round and have killed many of coons right as I was leaving my tree. I always have my squeaker in my pocket just in case.

No, not so much in my case, instead of fumbling around in the dark all night with glowing pins, I am able to eat, hit the rack, and be better rested for the gray light in the am.

    BINGO! (not)

You're right I was drawing a direct connection to the gun control concept...I carry a firearm nearly every day of my life, so don't make assumptions or idiot comments when someone simply shares their opinion. Outside of deer season I would have no problem having a spotlight and such at night hunting predators, but oh my word I like to stay above reproach and eliminated as much doubt as possible for my character being judged.

calm down man, please don't pull out the gun you carry every day of your life either. I'm just saying, that saying I don't want to do something that's perfectly legal because someone else may think I'm being illegal, is very similar to gun law activists. Who say everyone who has a gun can potentially do illegal. Not once did I question your stance on gun rights or judge your character.

Fine here is a different one so you don't get so touchy.

That's the same thinking as a guy who flashes a field at night to scout is a poacher.

At first I thought you were retarded lol then I started lmao.

I live in Canada. Our guns are hardly allowed for hunting anymore lol we have guns that are prohibited because, I swear to god, they look scary. I **** you not. Our federal police actually made a nice intelligent and legal language way of saying it looks too scary. Another good one is any gun that is a descendent of an existing prohibited gun it too will be prohibited. So any gun that has any resemblance in look or action to a AR no matter the brand is prohibited. So if two AR had sex and made a baby, we Canadians allow abortion so we also abort those babies. But if you change the look of it and pay a few politicians it will be made non restricted.

Sorry needed to rant about gun laws since it came up some how.
