    minced garlic in a jar...

I wish I took pics of our dinner tonight.

My wife held a meeting for her employees at the house, so I made crostinis with the following toppings:

    - pate, homemade fig jam, arugula, parmigiano reggiano
    - goat cheese, honey, fresh parsley
    - ricotta cheese, fig jam, arugula

I also made some naan, then added ricotta cheese, capicola, and slightly wilted arugula.

Also made some fresh watermelon mimosas.

I have read this twice... I still have no idea what the majority of it is.

I had a pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw.... Also had some watermellon.

haha, I agree. I had dinner in a juvenile jail with the inmates. It was a fantastic assortment of delicious dishes that started with a 50 cent pot pie and ended with three potato rolls. Top notch and absolutely no preservatives.

LMAO, replace cole slaw with potato salad and that was my lunch today as well.

Fancy food just doesn't appeal to me any more than plain food.

    Saturday night the wife made...

Bacon wrapped chicken with Swiss Cheese and ham in the center
    Cole slaw
    Mashed potatoes
cream style corn ( yuck ) I would rather have just plan corn but everyone else likes it.
cranberries ( out of the can )
    radishes and pickles

peanut butter rice crispy bars ( YUMMY ) for dessert.

    Tonight...
    .
    Baked Ham
Potatoe patties ( last night's left over mashed potatoes with flour, salt. pepper and onions and fry it )
    peas
    pickles

Now that is good food !!!!! :tu:

I'm not quite sure when bread, cheese, ham and lettuce was considered fancy food...

I made sure that was in the pic, just for you. Time is limited when cooking these days, so I've made some sacrifices. I'll still mince fresh garlic if I have the time. Hey, at least I didn't use garlic salt.

    When you call those ingredients:

There are literally like 10 words in your dinner I wouldn't know how to recognize, pronounce, or even spell if spoken aloud to me and I am a pretty dang smart guy. That defines fancy food to me. Nothing wrong with it I'm sure you find it delicious and a great hobby of yours for cooking, I just am thankful that I have zero interest in trying that stuff cause I'm sure it isn't a cheap hobby/lifestyle to eat that way. More power to ya for choking down wilted arugula and reggiano crostinis and naans. I'm more of a mac n cheese and hamburgers kind of guy.

Them are some nice courses! I do a little late season doe hunting by St. Ives. There are a few deer in that area.

Give me a call when the time gets closer.

Those all sounds pretty good. Big fan of capicola. Good choice for that combination.

I likes me some food. I can get down with pretty much anything, whether it be a cheap burger joint, or an overpriced uppity restaurant.

    pffff... arugula..

I made venison enchiladas last night. Lots of meat.. and cheese. And no sissy arugula or fig jam.

    :)
