A skunk or deer is getting an arrow flung at them tonight. I have a perfect wind for a stand right along the corn on a perfect funnel!!!!!

I just told my wife the skunk story... we're here in the kitchen rolling, and trying not to wake up the 3-year-old from his nap. :D

Made it to the tree without being sprayed. I have fox piss on my boots and my hat smells like skunk. What a wonderful smell.

    Vito have a little faith

If you shoot a skunk through the lungs it won't spray. If you shoot it in the head it usually will. Just so you know. ;)

    Good luck!

LOL... as a trapper who is around a LOT of people who have to dispatch skunks on a pretty regular basis, I can tell you most assuredly they can and WILL spray when shot through both lungs... ;)

You do usually have three seconds before they do so though :D

The only sure way to dispatch a skunk without them spraying is to inject acetone in their lungs with a horse syringe on the end of a long painter's pole. Somehow I doubt you're carrying one of those with you tonight. :)

    - edit... I just went back to the first page to see who said that.... You ought know that, Christine! :) Or, were you just setting our beloved Germ up... :D

I used to dispatch all my live skunks with a .22 or arrow through the lungs. Never had one spray. (and I've killed LOTS of skunks)

Germ, I hope you get something without getting injured or owned. You deserve it. Good luck.
