This post is for those of you who helped support me last year. I really appreciated your help with my fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and I wanted to see if you would be willing to help me again this year. I have registered to run the full marathon again this year. Last year an injury limited me to the half marathon, but this year I have hired a running coach and am training more intelligently. My current training schedule has me running 30+ miles per week. Mondays and Wednesdays are speed work sessions, Thursdays are slower, easy mileage and my long runs are on Saturdays. Right now they are either 12 or 14 miles, but they will get longer as time goes on. Anyway, if you would be willing to help me help the kids here at St. Jude it would be greatly appreciated. That's a no-brainer. Cancer in kids pisses me off. I have two healthy sons and could not even imagine the pain and anguish of watching one of them suffer as a child. Keep running. Keep fighting. Keep winning.
Bump for a great cause. Most of you guys will spend hundreds if not thousands this year on recreation because you are healthy and can. Throw a few dollars at helping a kid kick cancer so he/she can some day do the same. Come on guys, lets see this fund raising goal achieved by the end of the week! Share it with friends and family. I challenge you all to give at least $5. That's one Starbucks coffee you skip to help a child and help find a cure. You will all spend several times that for a single broadhead. Do something to make a difference. Thanks!
Love it! Keep it going! Blow the top off this thing. It just freaking breaks my heart to see kids taken by such an awful disease.
