i've been a life long packer fan... my dad has a pic of me and him out on the turf of lambeau during the lombardi era, my two boys are on the waiting list for season tickets from the day they were born... but rodgers is not the answer to the packers problems... he's only ok, imho, just slightly above mid pack for an nfl starter... he has a nice touch on the ball, but, he doesn't make decisions quick enough to be effective... top 5??? no way... MVP?? not a chance in hell... he's a first round playoff qb, not a championship winning qb...

I really hope to see the steelers polish their game a bit. It was pretty messy, but a win is a win I guess.

Sure was. Their defense showed up at times, but not like I expected (although Polamalu is an absolute animal...shame he could be out for half the season now). That was one of their hardest games on the schedule, but they need to step it up a bit if they want to be playoff contenders. James Farrior's hit on Collins was massive, though...loved it.

Do any of you guys realize the numbers he put up last year. Rodgers is a very good NFL QB. Alot of the "pro" predict and MVP for him in the near future as well. Caleb, what was his stats from last year...as I go back into my cave because I can't put the stats for my own argument on the screen.

4,000 yards adn 28 touchdowns in his first year as a starter...

He has all his receivers coming back, a healthy Ryan Grant and Jermicheal Finley looks like he may be on his way to TE stud-ness...

A-Rod is going to have a hell of a year

Thanks Bro, 4000 yards and ya'll are calling him average. Well then I pray Matt Ryan is average this year.
