Some of you remember the "driveway rub" post from the other site in '08 where I work. He tore up a service berry I had just planted that spring. Well he is still around...and he is a Rob buck :D I help manage a 10 acre property for a wealthy older couple in the Cincinnati suburbs. Basically multi-million dollar homes with woodlots and little koi ponds that give deer a nice place to live. This guy has been around for awhile, and I believe he hangs out a lot between their horse stable and tennis court, in some really thick stuff. atleast I think...Today at 2:30 in the afternoon in the pouring rain, he was standing in a clearing on a hillside, with columbia parkway in the background, a pretty busy street. 1st attempt at posting a video, so not sure if this will work..Sorry the footage was shaky at times, I was pretty close, and a little excited to say the least. I laughed my a off when I listened to what I said on the video.. Edit: (I have permission to hunt him now ) http://s308.photobucket.com/albums/kk356/bowmanaj/?action=view¤t=M2U00002.flv
Looks like my backyard....Every sapling rubbed, every hanging branch has a scrape and my dog barks at them every morning, EVERY MORNING..... Cool footage. That is a great looking beast. Prooves the urban point- bucks get massive in urban enviroments.
What a STUD! I truly hope you get a chance to lay your bow across his chest. That is a Fine specimen of a Rob buck!
Ha, indeed... Thanks guys, hope I can figure him out. I wanna be careful about where I hunt him though. There are a couple places on the property far enough away from streets that he likely uses.. Just wanna be careful about it, I dont want him running into the street or anything if I ever got a shot at him. Germ--Yea he just stood there and stared at me, couldn't believe it. I saw him in velvet when I was dumping brush in the woods, he hauled butt that time..
I remember that post, wasnt it near the Ohio river?? Man what a brute, good luck Adam I nicked named Him Harry High Hat Or tripple H :D
Haha, yea there are a few fences in the neighborhood.....fences that they jump right over to eat hostas from yard to yard. Bloodcrick-- yea this house and property sits on a ridge that overlooks the Ohio river. Harry High Hat... Good stuff, thats it
Great looking buck! Good luck getting a crack at him. So does he primarily stay in that 10 acre woodlot?
