    Horses need low sugar contents in their diets. Clovers are not a horses friend as well. Here is what i have clients use for pastures for horses where they want deer to eat as well.

    Alfalfa, timothy, festuolium, orchardgrass with less than 1 lb per acre of white dutch.

    Side note, if there is a lot of deer in the area your going to graze horses, lung worms can be an issue. Deer are carriers of lung words and so your horses will need to be wormed with safeguard.
