I am doing a plot in west central WI and I am thinking of putting in Rape,Peas and Oats or Buckwheat. Does this sound like a decent combination? Thanks!

I worry if you mix the oats or buckwheat it could choke the other seeds out.

If I were you I'd plant rape for the summer and then peas, clover, and chicory mix for the fall. Maybe plant the buckwheat or oats in a small separate plot nearby (maybe a kill plot or partitioned plot).

You going to mix all them seeds together plant them in strips?

If it was me, I would plant the buckwheat and peas now. Come July work that plot up again and plant the oats, cultipack and broadcast the rape over the oats.

My best farm area plots were always clover and turnips.
