My buddy and I have a quarter acre food plot that we planted a mix of oats and clovers last summer. We went to check some trail camera pictures and we were shocked that the oats and clovers were as tall as they were. I know that the clovers are perennials, but my question is should we till them up and replant again this summer even though they are already taking off? Our bucks are already putting on some pretty good antler growth so we didnt want to rob them of that. It is the only source of food plots within miles. We are thinking of expanding the plot anyways.

    Any advice would be awesome.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Mow the clovers, till and replant the oats in mid Aug.

I disced under rye grass before turkey season, and it was back to 3 ft high by the end of season...I later sprayed and killed it all off, tilled it into practically potting soil, and spread some round up ready corn.
