I know chufa is a good food source for turkeys, however I was wondering if sunflower seeds would work, just something I can throw out before spring turkey season gets here, any other suggestions are wanted as well. let me know what yall have tried and what works or what doesn't!

    thanks to all who respond

I work on alot of Horse farms and they seem to like sweet feed... made of corn, molasses and different grains and fillers.. I have also noticed them constantly out in the hay fields too...

Mixed scratch grain is all you need, cheap and easy to come by. Don't know why a sweet additive would be needed or desired. Sunflower seeds will also work just fine as will any type of corn or milo.

Buddy of mine planted oats, deer ate it till it dried out then the turkeys pounded the grain through the winter and spring. I guess they were all over it. If you were thinking of actually planting something...
