Since I've filled my only buck tag and taken two doe with my compound so far this season, I thought I'd go on a "meat hunt" with my CB since I still have 2 doe tags left. I'll do this late season when it's real cold. Anyway, I literally just within the last half hour dusted it off from last year. I took it outside for a couple (2) practice shots from 20 yrds just to confirm what I already knew. Could you expect these same results from a compound after not shooting it for an entire year? Maybe, but I doubt it. As pleased as I was with these 2 shots, I had little sense of accomplishment. I aimed my scoped (that I easily sighted in) Horton Yukon at the center of the black and pulled the trigger. Just say'n.
I believe that there are some on these forums that have put in the time at some point in their lives and did alot of shooting and could do what you just did at 20 yards with their compound without a problem. That said, a "sighted in" crossbow and someone who hadn't practiced much, would they get your results?
