I have been shooting my Helim for a few weeks and I was looking at accessories and I was looking at the Focus grip. Is anyone using it? Is there any benefit to swapping from the wood grip to the Focus?

While I don't own a Heli-m I have shot them both with and without the focus grip. It was a huge improvement to me over the large wooden grip that comes on it. It fit into my hand better and more consistently also seemed to lead to less torque. Just a much better grip IMO.

Pretty much sums it up. I own several Mathews and have focus grips on all of them. IMO one of the better ideas that has come from Mathews in recent history. I highly recommend one.

It come stock on the tactical bows. But if you order it on the bow when you order a new bow it is only $20 versus buying one from the dealer at $46.

I would get an aftermarket grip before the focus grip. Imo it is a bad design although it is better than their other options. There is a reason professional archers use thin flat grips and not rounded or pointed on the back like the focus. A small rounded grip will have a tendency to roll in your hand.

I use a focus on my monster, I think the wood grip is made too comfortable. Makes you want to grab onto it tight. I really like how the focus feels too.

I was wondering the same. How do you change it though?

You use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the wood grip and soften the glue. Then slowly work the grip off the bow. You can find videos on you tube with how to do it.

i actually don't like it....feels like i'm holding a metal squared bar or something....definitely not comfy for me...i prefer the stock wooden handle for comfort...

I've thought of trying one on my Extreme but am concerned about it changed my perceived draw length. I may still try it just to see. I can still switch back to the stock grip if I don't like it.

I thought about switching to a Focus grip as I had one on my Tactical and really liked it. However, the more I shoot with the standard wood grip the more I like it.

Plus it has the Bowhunting.com logo engraved in it.
