Well I need to refletch my arrows and I'm not sure what to do. I was pretty set on buying an Arizona EZ Fletch Mini and doing a wrap with blazers.

But how does doing that compare to the nap quick fletch quick spins?

And how do those compare to the FOBs? Can you use an arrow wrap with FOBs?

    Which do you prefer?

Haven't used FOBs but between regular blazers and NAP QuickSpin, I'd choose the QuickSpins. Improved accuracy and ease of installation are both features that I like.

i have seen fobs but i i always thought the concept was weird. and it just adds extra weight to the back ed of the arrow.

I currently have FOBs, I can hear them in flight. They are the easiest of the 3 choices, but I myself am looking at an Arizona EZ-fletch. FOBs can be used with wraps[IMG]

I shoot FOB's and Blazers, out of all four of my bows. The FOB's fly almost identical to the Blazers out to 80 yards, FOB's hit a touch higher at all ranges is the only reason I said almost identical. I have killed a lot of deer and turkeys with FOB's on my arrows the last 5 years, and they have always preformed flawlessly. I really like the versatility of FOB's as far as if you damage an arrow you can re-FOB it in seconds. They also steer large fixed blade broadheads very well, but so do my Blazers with helical.

I think I may get the bohning blazer quick fletches. Anyone have experience with these? Only concern is the shrink tubes slipping off my fmj's

I used them last year. Trust me, the only way any brand of shrink fletch will "slip" or "slide/fall off" is if they are not installed correctly.

You need to dip them slowly and evenly and keep them fully submerged until you see it completely shrink AND The water needs to be just below boiling.

All these people complaining about shrink fletching coming loose didn't install it correctly. These things have glue inside and when installed correctly won't come loose.

I've used the bohning blazers on standard CX maximas and this year I'm using the NAP quickspin on the CX piledriver pass thru extreme (which is a new small diameter arrow). No problems at all!

Wonderful. I guess my last question is this, and I know there a bunch of threads out there so forgive me- I know I want all white.

So I'm either doing the Bohning blazers with white tubes and two white vanes and one zebra white vane

Or the nap quick spin heartland bow hunter edition.

How do the quick spins compare with the blazers? I have no problems with blazers that's why I'm hesitant to switch. But I've never tried anything else

The quick spins do actually spin the arrow and help with accuracy.

They fly the same as my son's Piledrivers with blazer vanes
I can shoot my 482 grain CX Rebel's at 265 fps and his 490 grain piledrivers the same out to 60 yards. I havent shot farther than that.

I have to agree with my dad on this one. i I like the ease of use and the fact that, on a pass through, it gives you a shot spot to start looking for blood. I really don't like the whistle they have. No noticeable difference till you get to about 30yds. I still dont think they are worth the noice they produce. They would be great for competition. I have used both blazers and qwickfletch, they both have ups and downs. Blazers are more durable, qwickfletch are easier to install and you cant put wraps on.

The noise with FOB's comes off the back of the arrow, trust me it will NOT spook game.

I haven't used fobs. Currently I have 3 arrows with quick spins and 3 arrows with blazers with a helical. Both spin and hit the same.

Thats exactly what i used on my fmjs when i used to shoot them, they worked good. I just prefer the blazer vanes over all the other vanes, been using them for yrs and just stuck with them, my arrows always flew great! The past few yrs ive been shootin maxima blue streaks i have some that have the bohning blazer quickfletch but id say 70% of my arrows just have the regular blazer 2" vanes, they both flew the same for me.

Never used FOBs so I can't say about that. I have been using the shrink-fletch with the Blazers for about three years and I think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'll never go back to fletching my own. If you decide to fletch, I think there are better choices than an Arizona fletcher. I had one of those and didn't think it was as good as a JoJan multi-fletcher or a Bitzenburger.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim
