My brothers and I had the pleasure of working with a very talented fly fishing film maker this past year. We spent a few extended weekends fishing and filming at our cabin in Northern MI. Rob must have really hit rock bottom when he approached us with the idea. It wasn't something we were sure we wanted to do at first, but in the end, we are glad we did it. It was a lot of fun and we'll have something to look back on years from now. There is a film tour in fly fishing called, The Fly Fishing Film Tour <--link. Pretty creative name, huh? Its features a handful of extended trailers (10-15 min) of the best fly fishing films to be released in the coming year (at least according to them), shown at small movie theaters around the country. The Brothers Brown will be one of those featured on the 2013 tour. Must be a weak year in fly fishing films. Here is the official trailer.
Glad you shared this or I was going to :D Looking forward to the full release. Wish I could spend a week on the water with you guys to give me a crash course.
(tries to make "A River Runs Through It" joke) Fails because the video is actually pretty cool. I like.
I was expecting the trailer to read "Three Brothers....a legendary river....and one woman" and then some dramatic music with lots of crying and yelling. But instead we just got a shot of Vito's face.
I kind of thought there would be a canoe and some banjo music with lots of pig squealing. But, Michigan is in the North.
Thanks guys. It was a fun project. It will be cool to look back on it years from now. Assuming they still make something that plays a DVD. Some very good ideas being pitched. We could have used you guys a few months back.
Well for those who can't see a video... you missed some really nice film work for a trailer. Absolutely looks like I want to see it all. So which one can't fish.... I know, the guy with the paddles in his hands. LOL Great filming.
