HAHA, that is too funny. We were leaving a game last year and decided to take pictures of all the street signs. That is all there is to do when half a million people are all going the same direction and you sit at said red light for a LONG LONG time.

I never underestimate Urban Meyer. That guy will scheme it up with the best of them and will have a surprise or two on Special teams. As for Bama, pure athleticism and power will be their game plan. Hard nosed smash mouth football on boths sides for Bama with some play action and a solid screen package to keep Florida guessing.

I honestly can't pick this one. I keep wanting to pick Bama but Meyer just keeps me wondering what he's gonna scheme up.

Well I predicted 32-14 Bama and now I'm not sure UF can get to 14.

no, but I did fall asleep and forget to TIVO it... Wife got me awake at 2200 and turned the game on.

Oh well. I can remember a few SEC Championships in our favor.

    Couple quick things:

Florida is not as bad as they are playing right now. They are just SO young and inexperienced. Mainly inexperienced. This is what this team needed, they'll definitely grow from this game. I still think their defense is one of the best in the country, despite their performance tonight. Which leads me my next point.

Watching Richardson and Ingram remind me of Tebow and Percy Harvin during the 2008 season. Just phenomenal talents. Regardless of the play it always seems like they always got 5-7 yards. I see the same things when Ingram and Richardson touch the ball, they are just great players.

As I type this, Florida just blew another chance to score. I never thought they would have played this poorly, but I knew it was going to be tough for them to win. Like I said, this is what the Florida PLAYERS needed, Urban and his staff can only take them so far. The players out there on the field now for UF were the recruits who were being wooed to UF during the Tebow/Harvin/Spikes days when everything was golden for Florida. This type of game will be good for this bunch to learn how to play in the SEC, similar to how the entire 2007 season was for Tebow, Spikes and Harvin when they went 9-4. The next year they won the NC.

    The Gators will bounce back!

florida is not a bad team and they didn't play horribly... Bama is simply the most dominant team in college ball right now... take bama out of the picture and gators are instantly contenders for the NC...

I know it hurt you deep to pick Alabama :poke:but I am sure glad you were right. I know you are beside yourself right now with the way yall's game turned out. I really needed LSU to loose, we have Auburn and LSU staying right with us and we play them both.

I'm glad you say this. I honestly didn't think Florida played too terribly bad when it was all said and done. They moved the ball, played good defense; they just turned the ball over way too many times ( and untimely times) and their offensive line is a joke. I hope Florida and Alabama meet again in the SECCG. I think we'd see a lot better game.

But there's a lot of football left to be played. Auburn is looking awfully good right and Florida has a lot of business to handle in the East. It's going to be a fun year in the SEC.

That was simply an ass whoopin in smash mouth football on both sides. "Here we are, this is what we are going to do to you and you still wont be able to slow us down football" :) impressive win. Great teams make other teams look bad, play poor etc. I thought Florida may have a little more to bring to the game. I thought wrong.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was, but I just didn't think Florida could hang with Bama and I was proved right. As for the Vols game, I see improvement with them each week. Dooley has them headed in the right direction, it was heart breaking.

As an Alabama fan I am very happy with the outcome, as a football fan I could not help but wonder why Florida kept trying to establish a run game. They were getting pushed around on every play. They should have sold out like Texas did in the NC game last year and passed every play. It makes the game longer (more clock stopping) and that was their strength last night. Florida would move 40 yards on 3 passes then try and run on 1st and 2nd down, end up with 3rd and 17.

One thing to add, I am seeing a very young defense that keeps getting questioned grow up right before my eyes. Each time a big play is made by Bama you hear freshman/sophmore behind the call. It is a really good time after quite a few bad years to be a BAMA fan.

That's the way it's been the last two years with Addazio calling plays. On first and second down, always a dive play and both plays net something like 3 yards. He loves to run useless dive plays because he thinks his offensive line is good, which they are not. Scott Leoffler (wide receivers coach) shared play calling duties in last year's Sugar Bowl game and Florida looked great. Hopefully, Urban will lend him some responsibility when it comes to calling plays and let Addazio go back to coaching the O-line, which he does very well exclusively. Trying to do both and he's terrible.
