Any thoughts or predictions as to how the big game will go this weekend? My Gators have looked shaky prior to Kentucky last week when they finally got their offense rolling. Their defense is very underrated in my opinion and they force a lot of turnovers! I think it's going to be tough for them to win, but of course I'm not going to predict them to lose. If they can control first down (offensively and defensively) then they will have a good chance. A play by Demps, Johnny B spreading the ball around and a couple forced turnovers will be the ticket to a Gator victory. Still, it's going to be tough. I expect these two teams to meet in the SECCG regardless of the outcome of this game. Prediction: Florida- 21 Alabama-17
I think you're dreaming a little bit. Fla may have shown some life this past game but remember...it was Kentucky. Bama-32 Fla-14, And don't count South Carolina out for winning the East just yet. I think Bama may face a tougher game the following week when they play them in Columbia.
USCE is supposed to challenge Florida every year, and every year they get off to a hott start. They lack consistency for me to believe they can win the East.
I agree historically you are right. However I've watched them play this year and that RB, Lattimore, is a beast. They are better then Spurrier's past South Carolina teams. Watch out is all I'm saying, because I could see them swiping the East this year. EDIT: As a Tenn fan, you need to realize exactly how hard it is for me to give Spurrier any kind of credit.
GA, if Tennessee can score more than 10 points this weekend, they will probably beat LSU. LSU's offense is beyond putrid.
UT's offense is 0 for 34 (I believe) this season on 3rd and 6 yards or more to go. I doubt UT will be able to squeeze out 10 points, unless the D scores some. I hope they come out and play and they've shown some flashes this year that they can, but the UAB game looked like one big giant step backwards.
Lattimore is excellent. I agree this is probably Spurrier's best team at South Carolina, Garcia is has really matured. Conversely, I actually like to see South Carolina do well because I like to see Spurrier succeed :D
Lattimore is talented, but Auburn proved that a good defensive line can shut him down. SC is good, I'm just not convinced they can beat FL.
Love him or hate him you have to admit Spurrier was an offensive genius and great coach in the 90s and early 2000s. I easily understand why he's so disliked but give credit where credit is due gents! Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Auburn make it Atlanta. Cam Newton (former Gator) is darn good.
You boys know my opinion, Roll Tide Roll, as far as predictions I never bet/guess on Bama, I just want them to win.
