Ok in a venture to find the holy grail new stand sight the other day on some new property, I managed to get i believe a combo of Ivy, Oak, and summac on my arms (scratch, scratch) after hanging a stand in i believe killer location  We will see soon if it was all worth it ;)

    I HATE ALL THE ABOVE.

If I'm in the woods, where it is present, I can get it if the wind blows towards me.

I've had to go to the hospital a few times, after getting it. It sucks.

Blood, I usually need to be percribed medication during the entire fall...

But if you start to get it pretty bad, fine some ointment called "ivy rest". It does WONDERS. Take it from the guy who needs to go to the hospital if the wind blows the wrong way :(

I'm really lucky in this regard. I get it a little bit if I get in a whole lot of it, but I could walk through some of it and it won't bother me at all. I still try to avoid it though, because I know the way allergies can change.

I got poison oak on my right forearm a little over three years ago, I still have scarring from it....

I had my arm wrapped around the tree attaching a lock on..... With my forearm grinding into a poison oak vine with all those little brown roots going everywhere...

Well, I had probably 50 of them burrow into my arm and break off.... I guess the roots have a much higher concentration of "posion" than the leaves or branches, or so I was told....

My arm swelled up like a balloon and the pain from inflammation was almost unbearable.... I couldn't even straighten or close my fingers let alone bend my wrist for over a week, the tendons felt like they were on fire....

They gave me 3 shots and a bunch of meds...... Couldn't imagine how bad it could have been with out the meds

ummm not so much, it kinda feels good cause it'll turn the whole thing kind of a bubbling white and take that itch away for a while... i did it like 4 or 5 times a day and kept it as dry as possible. even when those things pop try to blot them with a tissue and i dont have to tell you to keep outta your eyes!!! oh also NO, NO, NO hot showers. (sleves will help)

My bro in law used to get it so bad! And he would never realize he had it on him until he had "relieved" himself a time or two! He's have it all over himself! He would have to go to the doc and get shots just so he could sleep. They kept giving him shots until he got immunized to it. Hasn't had it in 4 or 5 years now! You know that guy loved to hunt, he kept goin back for more! lp
