Rubberized undercoating for cars does the same thing to s tree stand for a lot less. Autozone.

Yes it is. We use to use undercoat to deaden door skins and trunk lids for big sub installs.

if you spray it now i don't think there would be any smell to it next year, but if you really want to quiet your stand down put rubber washers between any metal on metal contact, every screw and nut etc. carpet or floor mat for a vehicle on that metal meshing makes a big difference as well.

I agree with the washers but, not the carpet. It holds moisture and promotes rust. I don't know about you but, I'm not big on my stands having rust.

I wouldn't use carpet but I could see a rubber mat working as it isn't going to hold moisture like carpet.

Used it because I was given a couple bottles as free samples. $38.00 a bottle is way too steep. Rubberized undercoating works great. Even better is a product made for sealing brick foundations called HLM 5000 but it is a bit pricy as well.

Would the rubberized coating make it extremely slippery when its wet or if your boots are muddy?

It shouldn't considering it has a rough texture.

when i said this i didn't mean to leave it out all season... i used old rubber floor mats from my truck and i left them out, when we got our first snow the next morning was noisy, every time i shifted my weight the snow would crack so i started bringing my mats in with me

I thought about Rubber coating some of stands but worried about once you wear out the coating on top the water will get inside the and rust out the stand quicker because it can't escape or dry out.

I used that spray undercoating on my ladderstand last year to quiet it down and it worked great. I sprayed it on the ladder sections where they slip together to quiet it down. I sprayed it during the summer and by the time the season rolled around, the scent was all gone.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim
