I’m insulted! I can almost guarantee this is the engineer/townships fault. The owner(township) decides to remove a section of road within their jurisdiction. Engineer draws up plans for the new road. New plans for the road don’t line up with the old section of road. Engineer blames project manager. Project manager blames engineer. They decide to say “screw it. Paint the **** line!” Contractor does as he is told. It happens quite frequently, although we can usually correct problems like this. Every once in a while we are told to put a line “where the plans show” even though it is 6’ off. Edit: could also be the original road was built/painted out of spec, the shoulder on that road is huge. That old section might be removed shortly. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ha! Don't take it personally. I've also seen work that was phased look like this. Plenty of room for finger pointing or wonder.
