    Related, our USPS brings us mangled stuff all the times, UPS on occasion but Fedex is generally pristine.

    I hear folks in other areas where other carriers are inept or preferred.

    Why is there such different experiences with the same carriers, in different geos? Guess this should be cross posted to the rant thread.

    The mail carrier felt really bad about it. He told me to refuse it and he will pick it up today to send it back, I doubt I will get my $50 bucks back on the deal. Sh!t happens.

    UPS is top notch here. FedEx used to be pretty good but now they run all of our stuff through a rock crusher before they drop it off. I’m pretty sure they do it out of spite because it all started around the time I ordered a 16’ john boat and the seller sent it to me using regular fedex instead of freight. Packages from USPS are usually in good shape if on the rare occasion that they actually make it here and their regular letter type mail is a complete disaster. Around 50% of the mail we get is actually addressed to various neighbors and about 50% of the mail that gets sent to us ends up scattered around the neighborhood in other peoples mailboxes. The traffic in our neighborhood gets real bad around 6pm due to all the people driving around moving mail to the correct mailboxes.

    Interestingly I was tracking a package this morning that has been sitting in KC USPS distribution for a week, when a survey popped up asking about my experience, satisfaction, and to score them on those as well as how strongly I would "refer USPS to a friend.: lmfao....

    I imagine it was time wasted but I filled those comment boxes to the brim!

    My wife is a rural letter carrier I hear horror stories all the time of how people handle the mail.Some carriers just don't care and a lot of people at the sorting centers don't either. She is one of the few who loves her job and truly cares.
