I had it happen to me in the '70's at a drag strip. I was fortunate enough to have a scatter shield. 401 4-speed in a Gremlin, 7200 rpm shift to second gear. Made a huge mess! Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
65 GTO. 389 bored and stroked. Hurst 4 speed. 7100 rpm, 2nd to 3rd.... almost! Those scatter shields were life savers!!!!!
Usually it’s the engineer or some schmuck that drives through wet paint, but one time a bird landed on freshly painted markings we had finished and left little footprints everywhere. Its funny now, but man it sucks when stuff like that happens! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
