We get out onto a shooting call last night and two people are shot and suffering life threatening injuries. All hell breaking loose with people everywhere. Stressful scene for many hours. I finally clear and head into a 711 to grab something quick to eat. As soon as I'm ready to check out the clerk tells me he was robbed 2 hrs prior. I'm like wth?! So 10 mins later I realize it is a language barrier and some kid punched his banana stand twice. After clearing that up and just wanting to eat and clearly my head some good old boy walks in and says, "let me ask you a question"( in a strong southern accent)..."what are dem laws about having chickens and a darn rooster in your yard". I was so tired of it I just said " sir I ain't no dem laws and I just want my oatmeal cookies". He looks at me and says "fair enough" and goes about his day.
I am actually going to do this before I leave for my rutcation. Put it in the big pickle jar in the fridge. I will be leaving a few hours before my wife gets up. When she goes to grab the coffee creamer she's going to lose her $4it.
