    that is also known as a "Mansfield Bar", named after the actress Jane Mansfield who was killed in a horrific crash when the car she was in rear ended a Semi trailer in dense fog in 1967 in GA. ................... [After her death, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommended requiring an underride guard (a strong bar made of steel tubing) on all tractor-trailers; the trucking industry was slow to adopt this change. In America, the underride guard is sometimes known as a "Mansfield bar", or an "ICC bumper"] .... two of her kids were in the back seat survived, one named Mariska Hargitay went on to play Olivia Benson in ABC's SVU ..
