Since I have been home for almost 6 weeks, the wife calls me on her breaks and again once she gets done with work on the drive home. We have had some of the best and fun conversations.

Once she steps through the door of the house when she gets home, it is like something triggers her. She is not the same person, I spent talking to on the phone all day. She whines about what happened at work. Whines about this and that.

The whole atmosphere of the house changes. The dog hasn't barked at anything all day. Now the dog is barking at everything and getting in trouble. The cats have been good for the most part and just laying around all day. Now they are rising hell and being terrors. That makes the wife whine more!

The one night everything was annoying her. I finally just looked at her and told her she needed a second job so I could talk to the happy wife on the phone during her breaks. Was not the thing to say!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Keeping with the guardian angel thing

 

My wife has finally stopped talking about the crap going on at her work. Maybe because she only has 7 work days until retirement.

On another note, her boss's boss is conducting interviews with my wife and her co-workers. My wife is the 13th person to leave her unit since her employer made her boss the boss. For reference, there are 11 workers in her unit. Only one other worker remains that was an "original".

Should be interesting conversations.
