    I zipped off half a fingernail and some of the meat under it with a mandolin once…yes, it hurt l like a…they cauterized (Silver nitrate it in the ER to get it to stop bleeding.

    The doctor exhausted, at the end of his shift asked "a mandolin? Like the tiny stringed instrument?” I had to explain no, it’s a fancy kitchen slicing tool…

    Yea i was just joking. Kinda. :biggrin: That does look sick. My sister got a thick splinter under her thumbnail that ran almost the whole length of her thumb. Looked like a #2 pencil. She had to have a couple surgeries. Makes me cringe just thinking about it.
