Fletch's 2019-2020 Semi Sarcastic BS Thread

I posted that one about 2.5 years ago and some asshat gave me a dislike over it.

 

we have a 10 yr old long hair female and now two rescue kittens (sis/bro) .. they wear me out watching them ... River (the 10 yr old) can handle just so much , if they get to close she slaps the heck out of 'em, she'll sit there and watch their antics for a bit, then watch out ... dont have time for a dog..... with these 3, keep plenty of food in the bowl and clean litter boxes and they are good to go for multiple hours ... they also learn what NO and STOP IT/bad cat !! means (keep the water bottle handy), River is very smart thank goodness, the youngsters are learning... we may be gone for 12+ hours with our jobs, a dog cant hold it that long ..., for me come deer season, I am gone longer than 12 hrs ...

Microwaves were pricey in the mid80s (my vintage), but the resourceful would have a hot plate, water heater or use their iron (yes you can make grilled cheese with an iron)...

Cooking was generally less big of a deal for us, as there were some kitchens in dorms. But several other infractions would get you on a probation list and/or exited.

Dorm mothers became Resident directors/assistants (RD/RA).

 

You can rack up a hell of a fine if you empty a bottle of Jack and make it into a bottle rocket launcher and then snipe people walking by on the sidewalk. RA's were not impressed with the craftsmanship and accuracy of the launcher. Funny being a smart ass the original fine was $150 1 for the fireworks 1 for removing my screen. I only paid the $75 for removing the screen because their was no rule forbidding shooting fireworks out of the building.
