Does anyone use either NAP quickspin st fletching or bohning blazer vanes? After shooting through a whisker biscuit my fletches get messed up so they need re-fletched after this season. Was also wondering what jigs you use also. And finally, what are the advantages on a helical and would you recommend it?

I have never used the quickspins, I use the bohning blazer vanes. I have never had any trouble out of them. Last year I had a reflex bow with a WB rest and never had trouble with the blazer vanes in it. I use an Arizona E-Z fletcher. It is quick and easy to use, wish I had more then oe so it would be even faster but at least I can do one whole arrow at a time instead of one fletching at a time. I have never tried a helical with my fletching. I having only been doing my own arrows since January so I have not tried the helical and my e-z fletcher won't do helical. Hope to try it one day to see how different it really is. Hope I was able to help.

Yeah thanks I was thinking of using the blazers because they're stiff vanes that work well in WB's. I'm surprised blazers fit in an Arizona E-Z fletcher i thought that would be for long skinny vanes.

The E-Z fletcher is made to handle any fletching up to 5 inches long. It really is easy. I have a bohning single straight fletcher but I am still working on figuring it out so I use the E-Z fletch for most of my arrows right now.

Countryboy, I used a whisker biscuit for years and it tore my fletchings up like crazy. I had to stop using the WB.

As long as your WB is set up correctly and tuned properly, most of the short stiff vanes will work fine. I know alot of guys that use both Blazers and QuikSpins. I shoot Blazers and Fusions out of mine (fletched left helical) with no issues. Predators are another favorite with the WB. If you make sure you get it set up properly, you shouldn't have any issues.

My WB is tuned well but it just bends the fletches to hell and back again. I really like the WB so I really don't want to use a drop away. But thanks for the help guys

What type and length fletching are you using now?
