I've made this same posts on a couple of sites, but I was just wondering if any of you fletch your arrows using the Bohning fletching tape. I've yet to hear a negative review and most say that, with feathers, they work better than your typical glue. Anyways, just wanted some insight from you guys, thanks for any insight.
While I haven't tested feathers and fletching tape I have both in my basement ready for use next time I fletch up a dozen arrows. From what I hear about fletching tape, you won't find a better adhesive for feathers.
For feathers, there's nothing better. ESPECIALLY if you dip/wrap your arrows. If you need to refletch one vane just tear the feather off and using your thumb rub off the excess tape. There's no damage to your wrap. Just refletch it. Glue does work there's no question. But......too much of the glue soaks into the base of the feather and does no good. And you can't remove it from the clamp too soon or it won't stick. The tape is much faster. Tape does not work very well with plastic vanes though.
