If I am using a Hostage rest, Can I use arrow fletchings such as the N.A.P Quickspin? My concern is that the arrow will beigin spinning before passing through the arrow rest. This will obviously cause the fletching to hit the brushes and interfere with accuracy. Will the arrow fletching pass through the brushes and then start spinning? I would like tighter groups and have heard that spinning arrows have tighter groups. /
You'll be fine. The arrow doesn't truly start spinning until it is several feet in front of the bow. There are some really neat high speed videos showing this on YouTube. Watch the Hostage rest, I've found that you get contact with tall vanes like Blazers (the NAP vanes look similar, but I don't know their dimensions). It drove me bananas with my daughter's bow, I wound up changing it out for a WB. Borrow some lipstick from the Mrs, and rub it on the edges of your vanes to identify this, if there is contact, it will leave a stripe on the cage of the rest. The better Hostage rests may be deeper, or have some kind of adjustment than the cheapie that came on her bow. Good luck!
You will be fine with them. My finances bow has that set up and has no problems. And you will get more responses to this thread if you posted it in either the Tech section or bowhunting section instead of introductions. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
